Here at Jarvis Johnson EVERY job application will get a response (none of this “we receive so many applications so if you don’t hear from us then your application is not suitable” malarky!). If you have taken the time to craft an application the least you deserve is the courtesy of a response.
We will never send your CV to a client without having a conversation with you first. As far as we’re concerned firing CV’s into a client’s inbox without having a screening call with you first is a race to the bottom.
We want to make sure you fully understand the vacancy and the “fit” of the company. We will ALWAYS follow up our call with an email to you with a full job brief attached. We know you value clarity of what we have discussed and We take the time to add screening notes to your CV before sending it to our clients – to give you the best possible shot at securing an interview. And after your CV has gone forward we commit to getting in touch with an update at least once a week – even if we’re waiting for feedback ourselves from the client. We hear your frustration when agencies are desperate to talk to you about a job then leave it weeks before giving you a progress update.
Wherever our clients allow us, we will advertise a salary range , there is no “phishing” for candidates by hiding salaries that are not quite so competitive. Wherever we have been given permission by our clients to share salary information we will. Generally more than 80% of our vacancies are displayed with salaries.
Talking of transparency, 95% of the time we will be able to tell you who the client is when we have our screening call. That’s really important to us so you know it’s something genuinely of interest to you as well as avoiding duplication in applications which keeps our clients happy! Very occasionally we will need you to sign an NDA before we are able to share our client’s name.
